Coursework blogs
Hello there,
Welcome to AS Media Studies @ WSFC. You'll have to write a log/evaluation of your practical and creative work - this will count towards your final coursework mark. You'll write it as an online blog, which you can start now. Your Blog is part of your assessed coursework and will be seen by the external moderator, as well as your teachers. Therefore, it would be advisable not to write anything in your blog that you would not wish teachers/moderators to see!
1. Go to http://www.blogger.com/
2. Follow the instructions - don't forget your password.
3. Write your first post about what magazines you read and why.
4. Send me the web address of your blog using the college portal.
When you get going with this you will need to be making comments using the following categories.
1) Working with existing forms and conventions...(reworking the familiar)
2) Working in media production contexts...(professional practice)
3) Using technology...(creative tools)
4) Thinking about audience...(making meaning)5) Representing...(Constructing the real)
Your media teachers will tell you more about these when you get going with the coursework.
We will prompt you occasionally to make blog entries during your coursework, but is is up to you ultimately to keep it up to date.
